Lodge Location

The Lodge is located on the North

side of Serpentine River at the base of Blow me Down Mountains overlooking the Lewis Hills. If you are travelling by air, our shuttle service will pick you up at the Stephenville or Deer Lake airport. If you are travelling by vehicle than we can meet you in Corner Brook and accompany you to the main Lodge. Upon arrival at the designated drop off point, you will be taken to the lodge by one of our four wheel drive vehicles. Then you will take a 3 mile boat ride across the lake to the main lodge.

Our double occupancy rooms can accommondate 4-6 guests at a time with the comfort of indoor plumbing with shower facilities.
All linens and towels are provided.

Animals

Due to an over abundance of moose and black bear in this area surrounding our lodge, we have just recently been allocated non-resident moose licenses and black bear licenses. The latest figures released to us from the Wildlife Dept. for the area that we are hunting, shows a high density moose population (10 per square Km).

Serpentine Valley Outfitters is one of only two outfitters operating in the whole of this moose management area 6, which takes in approx. 1000 sq. Miles.

Success rate will be in the high 90%, as this area is virtually inaccessible to the local hunters. Large trophy bulls are quite common in this area. There is an old saying in NF. " Seeing is believing ".

Meals

Our chef will cook a variety of Newfoundland dishes and other fantastic home cooked meals, where our guests can relax and enjoy them in a warm cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains.
